A new bank note to help Ukraine issued by ČESKÉ DUKÁTY

The support that Ukraine has been receiving from Czech citizens, companies and institutions is extraordinary. The issued by ČESKÉ DUKÁTY have decided to help with what it does best. Being the issuer of ducats and other commemorative prints in the form of banknotes, they has come up with another “commemorative note" with Ukrainian motifs.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from its sale will be sent to the Post Bellum - Memory of the Nation fund. An organization that is a strong partner capable of spending funds transparently, efficiently and quickly. The expected contribution could reach over 30 million crowns.

The commemorative print in the form of a banknote showing the symbolic blue-yellow colour was designed by the academic painter Eva Hašková, an experienced designer of valuables and stamps. The front of the note features a detail of the Berehynia statue - the symbol of freedom - erected in Independence Square in Kyiv. The back of the note depicts the oldest church in the capital of Ukraine, the Church of St Sophia. The printing of the commemorative note is provided by the long-standing partner of ČESKÉ DUKÁTY  - the State printing works of securities. It is printed by using offset printing on paper with a watermark of a linden leaf, and is numbered by letterpress. It is issued in a print run of 20,000 pieces, each piece will be delivered in elegant packaging.

It was presented to the public for the first time at the Together for Ukraine event, which took place on 3 April in Prague, Letná.

All the creators and participating companies are donating all profits from this project and will cover the production costs themselves.

The commemorative note can be purchased for 1500,- CZK. A limited number of graphic sheets and posters with the main motif are also available.

The Post Bellum organisation is exclusively using the funds for defence equipment and medical supplies from donations. It wil be distributing these immediately to the affected areas.
